One Life to Live: SOAPnet to Air Marathon of Episodes

One Life to LiveAs we previously noted, The View is airing a special episode that will be devoted to saluting One Life to Live. SOAPnet is helping to give the 43-year-old serial a send off as well.

The ABC soap was cancelled earlier this year and leaves the network on Friday, January 13th. Prospect Park is supposedly still trying to continue the series in an online form but it’s hard to know when or if that will actually come to fruition.

On New Year’s Day, SOAPnet is running a 14-hour marathon of OLTL episodes from the show’s history. Interestingly, the cable channel is also ending in 2012. It’ll close down in February and be replaced by Disney Junior, a channel for young children.
