Sportscaster and ladies-man Flex Alexander (Flex Alexander) has his life turned upside down when his ex-wife Nicole Barnes (Tichina Arnold) accepts a job out of the country and his teenage daughter Breanna Barnes (Kyla Pratt) moves in with him. Other characters include Flex’s best friend, used car salesman Duane Odell Knox (Kelly Perine); his longtime girlfriend Candy (Shondrella Avery); and Breanna’s high school best friends Spirit Jones (Sicily Sewell) and Arnaz Ballard (Robert Ri’chard). Later in the series run, Breanna moves from Baltimore to Los Angeles to attend college, with Flex in tow. New characters include cocky photographer Cash Bagen (Jonathan Chase); materialistic Lisa Sanchez (Camille Mana); hip-hop obsessed Darrell “D-Mack” McGinty (Ray-J); and career-challenged Sara Crawford (Nicole Paggi).
