TV show description:
For years, families have been playing along with television game shows from the comfort of their living rooms. Now, for a few lucky families, a game show is being brought right to their front doors.
Each week, co-producer and host J.D. Roth knocks on the front door of a chosen family and surprises them with the news they’re been selected to be part of this game show. Contestants are even more surprised to learn that the show is happening on their front lawn and that the show’s audience will be their neighbors and friends.
In order to win $250,000 and a slew of other dream prizes, families must perform specially tailored tasks or answer questions about items in their home and about one another. They’re asked questions like, “What color are the sheets on your bed right now?,” “Who gave your daughter her first kiss?,” “What number does your son wear on his basketball uniform?” Each member of the family is asked four such questions and they’re worth (in escalating amounts) $2,500, $5,000, $7,500 and $10,000.
The final round requires one family member to match answers with questions that the other family members have been asked off screen. The family member to participate in this final round has the option to double the family’s previous winnings (without losing any of the previously-won prizes) by answering two of three questions correctly or, they can risk all of their money for a chance to win $250,000.
On this game show, the hand knocking on your front door may be bringing an opportunity worth a whole lot of cash.
