Will there be an Originals spin-off? Recently, CW boss Mark Pedowitz confirmed there are talks of another series, Deadline reports.
A spin-off of The Vampire Diaries, The Originals follows the Mikaelson family, the world’s first vampires who have returned to reclaim New Orleans. The cast includes Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Phoebe Tonkin, Charles Michael Davis, Yusuf Gatewood, and Riley Voelkel.
Earlier, we reported that there were possible plans for an Originals spin-off centered around the character Hope. Already, we know the fifth and final season of The Originals will focus on the character as a teenager, which could set up a spin-off about Hope as an adult.
At the recent summer TCA press conference, Pedowitz revealed there have been discussions about a Hope-centered spin-off but nothing’s set in stone:
There’s been many discussions about the character Hope. I’m very interested if she wishes to do it in the The Vampire Diaries universe.”
Nothing has come out of it yet. Julie really wants to get the final season of The Originals done.”
