What’s in store for The Originals? Recently, TVLine teased a possible spin-off for the CW TV show.
A spin-off of The Vampire Diaries, the supernatural drama follows the Mikaelson family, the world’s first vampires who have returned to reclaim New Orleans. The cast includes Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Phoebe Tonkin, Charles Michael Davis, Yusuf Gatewood, and Riley Voelkel.

The CW has already renewed The Originals for a fifth season, but is there something else planned for the series? According to TVLine, the upcoming season four finale will set up a major time jump that will follow Hope as a teenager. Casting is already underway for the new Hope, who is currently played by Summer Fontana.
In addition to the season five time jump, there could be an adult Hope spin-off. While The CW has not confirmed this plan, executive producer Julie Plec did tell TVLine earlier that there could be more Vampire Diaries spin-offs in the future:
I think there are future shows down the line that can be spawned out of this world and could tell good stories. It’s a hope for the future if nothing else.”
The season four finale of The Originals debuts on June 23rd at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
