Outlander is getting ready for its return, and now fans can get their first look at the upcoming season. A new trailer and several photos were released for season five of the series over the weekend. The trailer made its debut during Outlander’s New York Comic Con panel. Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan along with Duncan Lacroix, Maria Doyle Kennedy and David Berry were all hand for the panel.
Starz will premiere the fifth season of Outlander on February 16. Season 6 of Outlander is already planned, but no information about that season has been revealed. Per Deadline, members of the cast are still filming scenes for season five in Scotland.
Outlander plans to show the next chapter of the Frasers over 12 episodes. The episodes are based on the book by Diana Gabaldon, who was also present for the New York Comic Con panel on Saturday. Both James and Claire will need to fight to keep their family together and protect all those important to them.
