What’s next for Outlander? Recently, showrunner Ronald D. Moore teased some major changes for season three of the Starz series, Radio Times reports.
Based on the novels by Diana Gabaldon, the historical drama follows Claire (Caitriona Balfe), a WWII nurse who mysteriously travels to 18th century Scotland where she falls in love with Jamie Fraser ((Sam Heughan). The cast also includes Tobias Menzies, Graham McTavish, Gary Lewis, Duncan Lacroix, and Stephen Walters.
When asked about season three, Moore said Claire and Jamie will travel across the Atlantic:
I don’t think I’m giving too much away, but the story of season 3 will start in Scotland. Then there’s a sea voyage involved in the 18th century, an extended journey across the Atlantic, and then the story goes to Jamaica and the Caribbean and ending up in the New World.”
Season three of Outlander is slated to debut in 2017.
