Outlander is looking toward the future. Executive producer Matthew B. Roberts says work has already begun on season four of the Starz TV series.
The historical drama follows Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe), a married combat nurse from 1945, who finds herself mysteriously thrown back in time to 1743 Scotland. There, she falls in love with another man (Sam Heughan). The cast also includes Tobias Menzies, Graham McTavish, Gary Lewis, Duncan Lacroix, Stephen Walters, and Grant O’Rourke.
Season three of Outlander is expected to debut in 2017. On Twitter, Roberts said he’s writing the season three finale and has just begun preparing for season four:
