While a real-life pregnancy scare with wife Kristen Bell inspired Dax Shepard to get a vasectomy ASAP, the actor is ready for more Parenthood, at least on TV.

The Jason Katims’ series, also starring Peter Krause and Lauren Graham, ran for six seasons on NBC, before ending in early 2015. Now the actor-director tells The Hollywood Reporter that he is ready for a Parenthood TV series revival.

While doing press for his CHiPs feature film, inspired by the 1970s TV series, THR asked Shepard if he would be up for a revival of the Parenthood TV show. Shepard said, “Oh, for sure. That was the funniest job I’ve ever… well, no. Directing is the funniest job I’ve ever had. But it was definitely one of the great, just the most beautiful six years. It was wonderful so I’m not opposed to it.”

Watch Shepard discuss his impromptu family planning.
