ABC may be getting some new people soon. The New York Post reports People magazine is dealing with the network to get their own weekly primetime series.
The deal comes from People’s effort to diversify their media platforms.
The celebrity magazine, which began in 1974, currently offers daily entertainment news videos online through People Now. However, the magazine’s owners at Time, Inc. say the publication can further its presence by having their own TV show.
The series would feature entertainment and celebrity news.
Currently, People is Time’s best-selling magazine. ABC and People are still in negotiations for the possible TV show.
