Person of Interest will return to CBS on May 3 with season five, and fans have already been teased about the return of Shaw in the extended trailer released over the weekend. Now, Greg Plageman, the executive producer of the series, is revealing more about the return of Sarah Shahi’s character to the series.
TV Insider shared the following comments about the return of Shaw, and it does not sound like she will have many fans on Team Machine at first:
“This character we’ve missed so terribly finally returns, but is she still the same Shaw? Shaw’s been through quite the ringer. Root is caught somewhere between elation and trepidation; Shaw is damaged goods. The rest of Team Machine definitely has more trust issues when it comes to Shaw 2.0 than Root: in Root’s eyes, it’s still Shaw. But is she really? [They’re] trying to sort out where Shaw’s head is at. Whether or not she’s been brainwashed or reprogrammed in some way. And where her allegiance now lies.”
