Pete the Cat: New Series Based on Children’s Book Being Developed

Pete the Cat is being developed into a new series by Alcon Entertainment. The children’s book series consists of 22 books. The first book was published in 1999.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jeff Marsh will act as showrunner for the animated series. Marsh co-created Phineas and Ferb, which airs on the Disney Channel.

The news outlet shared the following about the project:

“The adaptation of James Dean’s New York Times best-seller was brought to Alcon from Appian Way. He will also executive produce along with Alcon co-founders and co-CEOs Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove, as well as Alcon television president Laura Lancaster and Appian Way’s Jennifer Davisson.”
