FOX may have a home run on their hands. Today, the network announced they’ve greenlit their new baseball series Pitch for the 2016-2017 season.
FOX has also given a series order to five other new shows, including Lethal Weapon and APB.
From writers Dan Fogelman and Rick Singer, Pitch centers on “young pitcher GINNY BAKER (Kylie Bunbury), a beautiful, tough and incredibly gifted athlete who instantly becomes the most famous person in the country when she’s called up by the San Diego Padres, making her the first woman to play Major League Baseball.”
The drama also features Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Ali Larter, Mark Consuelos, and Bob Balaban.
