Bad news for Pitch fans. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cancelled FOX TV show will not be revived for a second season.
From Dan Fogelman, the baseball drama follows the inspirational story of a young pitcher (Kylie Bunbury) who becomes the first woman to play Major League Baseball. The cast also includes Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Ali Larter, Mark Consuelos, Dan Lauria, Mo McRae, Meagan Holder, and Tim Jo.
As reported earlier, creator Dan Fogelman was trying to find another home for Pitch after it was cancelled by FOX. Apparently, producers 20th Century Fox were interested in putting the show onto Disney’s upcoming streaming platform Disney+. Sadly, it looks like plans did not work out and Pitch will not be returning after all.
