Please Like Me: Hulu to Stream First Two Seasons of Pivot Comedy Series

Please Like Me

Beginning October 11, you’ll be able to see seasons one and two of Pivot’s award-winning comedy series Please Like Me on Hulu. The announcement arrives in anticipation of the series’ third season premiere, which is set for October 16.

Created by Australian comedian Josh Thomas in 2013, the series follows a fictionalized version of his real life. Over the course of the last two seasons, Josh came out to his parents, lived with his bipolar mom, and acquired a dog named John. It’s low-stakes comedy, but its original voice and personal angle has garnered significant critical acclaim.

Last year, the series was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series at the GLAAD Media Awards. That same year, it was nominated for an International Emmy for Best Comedy Series and won Best Writing in a Comedy at the Australian Writers’ Guild Awards.

From creator and star Josh Thomas on Hulu’s acquisition:

“I’m excited that ‘Please Like Me’ is on Hulu because the more places this show is available in the USA the greater the chance Taylor Swift will stumble across it and then call me and then hold me.”

What do you think? Do you watch Please Like Me? If you don’t, would you start watching now that it’s on Hulu?
