What’s next for Please Like Me? Recently, creator and star Josh Thomas spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the future of the Hulu TV series.
The comedy follows the lives of a young, gay Australian, his friends, and his family. The cast also includes Debra Lawrance, David Roberts, Thomas John Ward, and Wade Briggs. Season four of the series was just released on Hulu in the U.S.
In the interview, Thomas said he’s up for a fifth season:
I’d love to make more seasons. We’ll see. I’m really happy with the way it ends, so I’m content if this is the last season,” he says. “But obviously we’d like to make more. I’d like to see them into their 30s.”
However, Hulu’s head of content Craig Erwich says he still isn’t certain about more seasons:
We’ll have to see. I wouldn’t rule it out. Let’s see how season four goes, what the fans think of it and how it is, and then also where the producers [want it to go], but it’s certainly always an option.”
