Are you a fan of the new Powerpuff Girls? The series’ original creator isn’t. On Twitter, Craig McCracken discussed the new Cartoon Network reboot.
In the early ’90s McCracken created the original The Powerpuff Girls cartoon, which ended in 2005 after six seasons. The reboot premiered earlier this year, with a different showrunner and voice cast.
On his Twitter, McCracken said he never wanted a revival and did not give the reboot series his blessing:
I never officially gave it my blessing I just understood the business reality that I had no power to stop it from being made.

@90kid2382When CN told me they were making more I told them that I wished they wouldn't but from a financial standpoint I know why they did.

McCracken isn’t the only person from the original Powerpuff Girls series to express disappointment with the new series. Earlier, we reported the original voice cast was dismayed to learn they weren’t hired for the reboot.
What do you think? Have you seen the new Powerpuff Girls? Does it hold up to the original series?
