Preacher: AMC Releases First Teaser of Upcoming Series

Preacher TV show on AMC (canceled or renewed?)

AMC’s preparing for the pulpit. Today, the network released a short teaser for the full-length trailer of their new series, Preacher.

The trailer will premiere on November 1, alongside the trailer for another of AMC’s anticipated action dramas, Into the Badlands, during an extended episode of The Walking Dead.

Based on the popular comic book series from Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, Preacher centers on a Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a small town Texan priest who becomes possessed by a supernatural creature. Together, he, his ex-girlfriend, and his Irish Vampire best friend “embark on a journey to, literally, find God.”

The series comes from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who directed the first episode, and Breaking Bad writer Sam Catlin.

Though only a few seconds long, the teaser promises plenty of gore and God to be had.
