The lies are starting up again. Today, Freeform announced that production on the seventh season of Pretty Little Liars has begun.
Season six just ended in March.
Earlier, star Lucy Hale revealed that season seven will be the last season to feature the drama’s complete cast. Whether or not season seven is the end for Pretty Little Liars remains unknown. Series creator I. Marlene King has said it will mark “the beginning of the end.”
Nevertheless, season seven is being described as the “most romantic season of PLL yet.”
It premieres on June 21st at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Production began last Friday on the seventh season of Freeform’s hit original series “Pretty Little Liars.” In this upcoming season, the Liars will band together to unearth answers to the last remaining secrets and take down “Uber A” for good in the most romantic season of PLL yet. Season seven will premiere with a supersized episode on TUESDAY, JUNE 21 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT) on Freeform.
Additionally, series star Troian Bellisario will make her directorial debut this season. Bellisario is set to direct episode 715 of “Pretty Little Liars” during the second half of the season.
“Pretty Little Liars” is produced by Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television and is executive-produced by I. Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick, Leslie Morgenstein, Joseph Dougherty and Charlie Craig. The series stars Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Tyler Blackburn, Lucy Hale, Ian Harding, Laura Leighton, Shay Mitchell, Janel Parrish and Sasha Pieterse.”
