What’s in store for the end of Pretty Little Liars? Recently, the cast spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the upcoming Freeform series finale.
The long-running drama revolves around a group of young women from the little town of Rosewood, PA who have plenty of secrets. The cast includes Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, Sasha Pieterse, Ian Harding, Janel Parrish, Tyler Blackburn, Laura Leighton, and Keegan Allen.
In the interview, Shay Mitchell said the Pretty Little Liars series finale is “perfect”:
I think we’re ending it at the most perfect time and honestly, there couldn’t have been a better ending for this. You guys wrapped this up perfectly. Perfectly.”
Troian Bellisario also revealed the table read for the final episode was emotional:
We had several people from the studio and from the network there. It was really a collection of people, so we had cast members that we hadn’t seen in forever and we were sitting like three rows deep and it was a massive table read and it was a lot of scenes where we were saying goodbye.”
Series creator I. Marlene King later teased the last episode, saying the show is at its best “when it’s a great mix of drama and mystery. We tried really hard in the finale, as Shay was saying, to deliver really high-stakes emotion but also high-stakes mystery, too.”
The series finale of Pretty Little Liars debuts on Freeform on June 27th.
