What can fans expect from the upcoming Psych movie? Recently, Entertainment Weekly released a first look at the USA Network series reunion.
The TV movie will reunite the cast of the detective dramedy, which ran for eight seasons before ending in 2014. Returning stars include Dulé Hill, James Roday, Corbin Bernsen, Kirsten Nelson, Maggie Lawson, and Timothy Omundson.
Speaking to EW, creator Steve Franks revealed the new holiday movie will see the Psych team face off against a new villain—the Thin White Duke (Zachary Levi). Franks also mentioned that Omundson almost didn’t make it into the movie because the actor suffered a stroke right before production began:
There is most definitely a way that he appears in the movie. We haven’t gotten to that point [in the editing process, yet]. I can’t say for 100 percent sure that he will, but I can say like 99.99 percent that we did everything we can to get Tim in the movie.”
