Quantico is nearing the end of its second season, but what about a third? Recently, showrunner Joshua Safran told TVLine he has a plan if the ABC TV show gets cancelled.
The drama series follows Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra), a former FBI agent who now works for the CIA. The cast also includes Jake McLaughlin, Aunjanue Ellis, Yasmine Al Massri, Johanna Braddy, Russell Tovey, and Blair Underwood.
In the interview, Safran revealed they shot two endings for the season two finale—a cliffhanger scene if ABC renews the series and another ending in case it’s cancelled:
If for some reason I hear that we’re not coming back before [it] airs, I will just literally cut that scene off the episode, so it will be like it never existed.”
ABC has not yet announced whether Quantico will be returning for a third season or not. Meanwhile, we asked viewers if they’d watch a third season and the answer was overwhelmingly “yes.” The season two finale of Quantico airs on May 15th.
