Quarry: Production to Begin on New Cinemax TV show

Cinemax TV showProduction is set to begn on a new Cinemax TV show Quarry on March 30th. The eight episodes will feature the talents of Logan Marshall-Green, Jodi Balfour, Peter Mullan, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Damon Herriman, Jamie Hector, Edoardo Ballerini, and Skipp Sudduth.

NEW DRAMA SERIES QUARRY

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 2, 2015 – Production will begin March 30 on the eight-episode CINEMAX drama series QUARRY, it was announced by Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming. Based on the novels of Max Allan Collins, the show will be directed and executive produced by Greg Yaitanes (CINEMAX’s Emmy®-winning “Banshee”; Emmy® winner for directing “House, M.D.”), along with executive producer Steve Golin (HBO’s Emmy®-nominated “True Detective”). QUARRY is created and executive produced by Graham Gordy & Michael D. Fuller (“Rectify”).

“This nuanced and dynamic show marks an exciting moment in the evolution of CINEMAX programming,” said Lombardo.

QUARRY tells the story of Mac Conway, a Marine who returns home to Memphis from Vietnam in 1972 and finds himself shunned by those he loves and demonized by the public. As he struggles to cope with his experiences at war, Conway is drawn into a network of killing and corruption that spans the length of the Mississippi River.

QUARRY stars Logan Marshall-Green (“Prometheus”) in the title role; Jodi Balfour (“Final Destination 5”) as Joni; Peter Mullan (HBO’s “Olive Kitteridge”) as The Broker; Nikki Amuka-Bird (“Luther”) as Ruth; and Damon Herriman (“Justified”) as Buddy; along with Jamie Hector (HBO’s “The Wire”) as Arthur; Edoardo Ballerini (“Romeo Must Die”) as Karl; and Skipp Sudduth (“Ronin”) as Lloyd.

An HBO Entertainment production in association with Anonymous Content, the series is also executive produced by Matt DeRoss (“The End of the Tour”), David Kanter (“The End of the Tour”), Max Allan Collins and Ken Levin (“The Scribbler”). Additional writers on the series include Jennifer Schuur (“Hannibal”) and Max Allan Collins.

QUARRY will film on location in New Orleans and Tennessee.
