It seems The Real O’Neals might be a done deal. Deadline reports star Jay R. Ferguson has been cast in a new series pilot for CBS.
Ferguson isn’t the only cast member from The Real O’Neals to join another project. Recently, we reported Matt Shively has been cast in an NBC pilot.
ABC has not yet announced whether The Real O’Neals will be renewed or not, but it seems highly unlikely. The sitcom received low ratings over the course of two seasons, with the second earning a .93 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 3.068 million viewers.
Ferguson will play the lead in CBS’ new pilot, Living Biblically. Based on the book by A.J. Jacobs, the sitcom “centers on Chip (Ferguson), a modern-day man at a crossroads in his life who decides to live according to the Bible.”
