Things are getting real on The Real. Deadline reports Tamar Braxton is leaving the syndicated talk show after two seasons.
The talk show features a panel of women discussing current events, lifestyle tips, and interviewing celebrity guests. Earlier, we reported the talk show was renewed through the 2017-2018 season.
The show’s producers released a statement, saying Braxton was leaving to focus on her solo career:
The Real and Tamar Braxton have mutually decided that Tamar will not be continuing with the show for its upcoming third season. She will be leaving in order to concentrate on her solo career. Everyone associated with The Real appreciates Tamar’s efforts and the contributions she has made to the show’s success, and we wish her all the best for the future.”
The Real will return with regular hosts Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Bai, Tamera Mowry-Housley, and Loni Love in the fall.
