The historical-ish Reign  TV show drama has cast Bitten‘s Steve Lund in a recurring role for the upcoming fourth season on The CW. Deadline reports he will play Luc, described as, “…a sexy, highborn rogue who is also a plain speaking realist. He’s a good guy who happens to have a morally compromised and very powerful father.”

That’s right. Lund will play the son of Lord Stephan Narcisse (Craig Parker). As previously reported, Will Kemp has been cast to recur as Lord Darnley, whose historical analogue married Mary, Queen of Scots (Adelaide Kane) in 1565, five years after the death of Francis II (Toby Regbo). The Reign  TV series cast includes: Kane, Megan Follows, Celina Sinden, Rose Williams, Rachel Skarsten, Charlie Carrick, and Ben Geurens.

Previously, Narcisse’s son’s name was reported as Gabriel. The character was rumored to fall in love with and want to marry Princess Claude, even though she is in love with someone else.

Here is more, from Deadline:

[Luc] is his own man, eyeing his own future, even as his father pressures him to make lasting and permanent inroads with the French royal family. Specifically, Narcisse wants his son at Princess Claude’s (Rose Williams) side. Luc’s arrival on our canvas will complicate Claude’s life in ways she could never have imagined. Lund is best known for his lead role of Nick Sorrentino on Syfy series Bitten and as a recurring on CBC’s Schitt’s Creek.

In the US, Schitt’s Creek, which was renewed for a third season in March, airs on Pop TV.

The Reign season three finale, “Spiders in a Jar,” airs Monday, June 20, 2016 at 8:00pm, on The CW. TV Guide says, “…Mary must battle Elizabeth in order to secure her crown in Scotland. Meanwhile, Lola [Anna Popplewell] is accused of an awful crime and faces punishment; and Catherine finds a very different Charles has returned to France.”

What do you think? Are you getting excited for the third season finale of Reign? What would you like to see happen in the fourth season?
