Reno 911!: Movie Based on Comedy Central TV Show in the Works

Reno 911! TV show on Comedy Central: (canceled or renewed?)

Is Reno 911! making a comeback. Recently, star Niecy Nash told The Hollywood Reporter there’s another movie in the works for the Comedy Central TV show.

The cop show parody originally aired for six seasons between 2003 and 2009. The cast included Nash, Cedric Yarbrough, Robert Ben Garant, Thomas Lennon, Carlos Alazraqui, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Kerri Kenney-Silver.

In the interview, Nash revealed there is another Reno 911! movie in development. In 2007, a film was released called Reno 911!: Miami:

I’m trying to get everybody to commit to it this summer. … Do we need a storyline? We’re just gonna put on the uniforms and see what happens.”

Her co-star Kenney-Silver added:

Last week, there was an email chain that went around saying, ‘Come on guys, let’s do another run!’ It’s really a matter of timing for us and when everybody is available. Niecy sent Tom and I a picture of a kiosk in a Walmart and I guess we’re big stocking stuffers this year because it was a display of our box set. We were like, ‘Maybe it’s time.'”

What do you think? Are you a fan of Reno 911!? Would you watch another movie?
