Television producer Ian Sander has died at the age of 68. With wife, Kim Moses, he founded Sander/Moses Productions, the company behind TV series including Profiler, Ghost Whisperer, and more recently, Reckless, which was cancelled by CBS after one season.

According to Deadline, Sander and Moses were just wrapping up production on their Spark TV show pilot for ABC. An alternate-history steampunk drama starring Antonia Thomas and Rege-Jean Page, Spark comes from British playwright Michael Cooney who executive produces with Sander and Thomas.

In addition to the above shows, Sander executive produced TV series including For the People (Lifetime, 2002); The Beast (ABC, 2001); Brimstone (FOX, 1998); New York News (CBS, 1995); and I’ll Fly Away (NBC, 1991).

He was a producer on Equal Justice (ABC, 1990), as well as the Ghost Whisperer: The Other Side web-series (2007).

Additionally Sander produced or executive produced several TV movies, including Runner, Psychic in Suburbia, Frankenstein, Astronauts, How to Marry a Billionaire: A Christmas Tale, Ali: American Hero, Chasing the Dragon, Kansas, Arly Hanks, Stolen Babies, Plymouth, When He’s Not a Stranger, Mick and Frankie, and Everybody’s All-American.

Sander is also credited as director on several TV series, most notably Reckless, Ghost Whisperer, Profiler, and I’ll Fly Away.

According to the Deadline report, while working on the Spark pilot, Sander was also executive producing, “YouTube’s first longform documentary on the life of YouTube personality Gigi Gorgeous, directed by Oscar winner Barbara Kopple. Additionally, Sander/Moses has a first-look deal with NBC Universal International TV Studios.”

Early on in his career, Sander acted on a few TV series including Dan August, Mod Squad, Medical Center, Ironside, Baretta, The Rookies, and The Rockford Files.

In addition to his wife, Sander leaves behind their two children, Aaron Sander and Declan Sander.
