ABC cancelled Resurrection after 21 episodes, which ran over the course of two seasons. While there is no news of a cast reunion, come 2016 some of the talent will reunite on a TV near you. Per The Hollywood Reporter, actor Kurtwood Smith, who played Resurrection‘s Henry Langston, is set recur on sophomore ABC series, Marvel’s Agent Carter. Resurrection show runners Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas, are also at Agent Carter‘s helm.
Resurrection cast members include Smith, Frances Fisher, Matt Craven, Omar Epps, Mark Hildreth, and Samara Armstrong. Marvel’s Agent Carter stars Hayley Atwell, James D’Arcy, Chad Michael Murray, Enver Gjokaj, Bridget Regan, and Dominic Cooper.
From The Hollywood Reporter:
Smith will play Vernon Masters, a veteran of the War Department with a keen understanding of how to work the system.
The casting reunites Smith with former Resurrection bosses and Agent Carter showrunners Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas. The actor was a series regular on ABC’s Resurrection, where he starred as Henry for both seasons.
What do you think? Do you think Smith is a good fit with the cast of Marvel’s Agent Carter? Do you plan to check it out?
