Series Description:
Each episode of this drama follows a year in the lives of six high school friends. At the group’s 20th year class reunion, one of the characters is murdered. Scenes from the past blend with the present day murder investigation to lead to the uncovering of the characters’ secrets and the murderer’s identity.
The six friends are wealthy son Craig Brewster (Sean Faris), Craig’s girlfriend Samantha Carlton (Alexa Davalos), Craig’s best friend/Sam’s secret admirer Will Malloy (Will Estes), sexy Jenna Moretti (Amanda Righetti), geeky Aaron Trumbull (Dave Annable) who has a crush on Jenna, and Carla Noll (Chyler Leigh) who has a crush on best friend Aaron.
Episode nine – 1994
In the present, Rachel is questioned and becomes a possible suspect in Samantha’s murder. In 1994 a hopeful Carla gets her romantic hopes crushed by Aaron and another man named Peter. Aaron’s wife Pascale is pregnant again and Craig’s old affair wants to ruin his political carer and good name. Craig and Sam are interviewed by a reporter named Elise who dug up some dirt on the couple. Sam is outraged when she learns that Craig may have cheated on her again. Later in the episode, the friends and their loved ones celebrate Christmas together.

| • | The series was envisioned to have a full season of 22 episodes. Unfortunately, the ratings were low and FOX cancelled the series. Because of the series structure, the producers couldn’t wrap up the storyline in 13 episodes. FOX initially planned to air all 13 episodes but pulled the series after nine had aired. All 13 episodes have aired in other countries. |

| • | FOX Entertainment president Peter Ligouri subsequently told reporters that there were several story possibilities as to the murderer’s identity. The best guess was that it probably have been Samantha’s daughter, Amy, whom she had given up for adoption years earlier. The actual reason for the murder remains a mystery. |

| • | When the 13th episode aired on the SBT channel in Brazil, additional information had been added. A narrator explained that an adult Amy, angry over being abandoned as an infant and being abused by her adopted father, accidentally shoots and kills Samantha. Will and Craig call Craig’s high-powered dad, Russell (Gregory Harrison), for help. The big twist is that, when Russell arrives, he discovers that Samantha is still breathing and secretly suffocates her because of Sam’s earlier affair with Will. His crime is eventually discovered and he’s brought to justice. Dave Annable verified the events of this ending in October 2006. |
