Riot: TV Show Cancelled by FOX

Riot TV show canceled by FOXFOX has cancelled Riot, their new comedy improv series, after four episodes.

Hosted by Rove McManus, Riot is an unscripted show that pairs guest celebrities with a group of regular players for comedy song, dance, and sketch challenges. The regulars are John Ross Bowie, Jamie Denbo, Brian Palermo, Jordan Black, Jessica McKenna, Meryl Hathaway and Rob Gleeson.

The show debuted in mid-May to a dismal 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.34 million viewers. The numbers have gone up and down since then but have all been terrible.

The network has pulled the show from the schedule effective immediately, along with I Wanna Marry “Harry”. The four remaining episodes may surface at some point in the future but there are currently no plans. Reruns of FOX comedies will fill the timeslot for the time being.

What do you think? Have you been watching the Riot TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled?
