The show originates from Israel where almost half of that country’s TV audience tunes in. A UK version is expected to launch in early 2015 and other versions are also planned for France, Germany, Italy and Russia.
The Israel version uses real-time voting via an app that’s closely integrated into the series. It’s unclear if ABC will use an app as well and how they’ll accomplish real-time voting, taking into account the East Coast and West Coast airings.
