HISTORY’S NEW UNSCRIPTED SERIES ‘ROAD HAUKS’ FOLLOWS THE TRANSFORMATION OF ICONIC AMERICAN DESIGNS INTO POWERFUL 21ST CENTURY OFF-ROAD VEHICLES

SERIES PREMIERES SATURDAY, APRIL 8 AT 10 PM ET/PT ON HISTORY

Following New Back-to-Back Episodes of ‘Counting Cars’ at 9PM ET/PT

New York, NY – March 23, 2017 – Taking inspiration from iconic American designs, HISTORY’s new unscripted series “Road Hauks” follows the creation of custom off-road vehicles that pay homage to the past while still maintaining a modern, rugged look. Kenny Hauk and his crew of expert mechanics and fabricators at Hauk Designs are history buffs who pride themselves on the ability to make builds that are both historic and have high-horsepower. “Road Hauks” premieres Saturday, April 8 at 10PM ET/PT on HISTORY following all-new back-to-back episodes of “Counting Cars” at 9PM ET/PT.

Hauk began his business out of his parents’ garage and has grown the company into a world-renowned off-road automotive shop. The team’s inspiration for vehicles has no limits. From a Colt .45 handgun to a steam locomotive to a Viking battering ram, they transform all eras of history into their builds. Hauk executes his designs with the help of his team including lead mechanic Rick, lead fabricator Rob, mechanic Clint, operations manager Justin, technician Josh Moe, and his wife and part owner Vianna.

In the premiere episode, the crew transform a 2007 Jeep Wrangler body into a World War II fighter plane-inspired off-road vehicle. Steering yokes, an aircraft aluminum body, and thousands of rivets help make this jeep look like a fighter jet, but a new drive train and rock crawling capabilities make this build a modern monster truck in every way.

The latest installment of “Counting Cars” continues to follow Danny Koker and his team as they take on new projects and challenges. Upcoming highlights include Dee Snider from Twisted Sister enlisting Danny’s help on a secret project, the team entering the LeMons rally race where no car can be worth more than $500, and the crew finding a rare build from famous car customizer George Barris – the man behind the original Batmobile.

“Road Hauks” is produced for HISTORY(R) by Magilla Entertainment. Executive producers for Magilla Entertainment are Matthew Ostrom, Laura Palumbo Johnson, Jason Fox and Kevin Allgood. Executive Producers for HISTORY(R) are Sean Boyle and Zachary Behr. A+E Networks holds worldwide distribution rights for “Road Hauks.”
