Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich met on reality TV. As popular contestants of Survivor, they fell for one another when asked back for Survivor: All-Stars, where Rob proposed to Amber on the finale. They then went on to compete on seasons 7 and 11 of The Amazing Race, and even wed on TV with their own wedding special. Since most of their relationship has played out on national television, it’s no surprise that they returned to the small screen for this series that follows Rob as he uses his reality show winnings to try and become a professional poker player in Las Vegas.

The series begins as the Mariano’s leave the sunny shores of Pensacola, Florida, for the bright lights of Vegas. Once in Vegas for a 3-month-trial period, Amber tours apartments while Rob immediately dives into lessons with his tutor, professional poker player Daniel Negreanu. When Rob begins to spend more time playing poker than helping out at home, Amber is upset, but not as upset as when a poker tournament threatens to keep Rob from attending her 10 year class reunion.

At the end of three months, the two must evaluate whether they want to “call” or “fold” on life in Vegas.
