Comedian and actor Rob Schneider will return to the small screen with an original sitcom, Real Rob, set to premiere on Netflix on December 1.
According to THR, the series has been picked up for eight episodes and will blend Schneider’s stand up with an “exaggerated yet brutally honest depiction of Schneider’s real life.”
Though possibly best known for his work on Saturday Night Live and in Adam Sandler films, Schneider has tried his hand at an original sitcom before. In 2012, CBS premiered ¡ROB!, a half-hour comedy that followed Schneider as a landscape architect with OCD, only to cancel it after eight episodes.
From Schneider, in a press statement:
“I couldn’t be more thrilled to have our audience watch Real Rob on the best platform in the world — Netflix.”
