ABC’s big Roseanne revival premieres tonight, March 27th, so what can we expect? Recently, Roseanne Barr revealed her plans for the reboot, TVInsider reports.
As reported earlier, the upcoming reboot will see the return of original cast members Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, Lecy Goranson, Michael Fishman, Johnny Galecki, and Sarah Chalke.
During a recent panel at the Paley Center, Barr said everyone involved wants the Roseanne revival to be renewed for another season:
We all want to, definitely. We had such a blast. And it was just so fun to be together again … we remember all the old jokes and all the old things that we used to do and they were so funny and still fun.”
Later, Barr revealed there was always a plan for season 10 even though Dan (Goodman) seemed to die at the end of season nine in 1997:
It’s not what you think it is at all, and a lot of people have missed it. Since the ninth season I’ve always wanted a tenth season so, I’ve always had it in my mind how it would resume. It’s the same idea that I had a long time ago. The truth is told in the first episode with Dan and Roseanne in the garage. People think it’s in the beginning of the show, but the truth is it’s in the garage scene.”
The new season of Roseanne premieres on ABC tonight, March 27th, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Roseanne? Will you watch the revival?
