TV show description:
Set in Miami, this crime drama centers around Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, Jr. (Morris Chestnut). Cool, calm, collected and incredibly charismatic, he’s the city’s leading Pathologist and a man who’s much in demand by the homicide department.
He’s joined in his practice by ‘toxicology queen’ and sister Pippy (Gabrielle Dennis) and DNA specialist Tarra Milly ‘TMI’ Izzicoff (Anna Konkle). Never too far away is his mother Donna (Lorraine Toussaint). She always has something to say, especially about his love life.
Tough and uncompromising Detective Annalise Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz) is asked to team up with Rosewood. Though impressed by his brilliant ability as a Medical Examiner, she is irritated by his unlimited optimism. She learns this is due to his having two holes in his heart and no more than 10 more years to live so she quickly forgives him.
Under the watchful eye of Captain Ira Hornstock (Domenick Lombardozzi), the pair team up and set about solving the city’s toughest crimes.
Having had his first stroke at age 11 and his last at 21, Rosewood believes each day is a gift and every clue counts. Driven by seeing homicide victims lose the thing he holds most precious, he quickly becomes a crucial part of the city’s crime fighting efforts.
Episode #44 — Blistering Heat & Brotherly Love
Rosewood, Villa, Slade and Hornstock work to take down a highly skilled group of criminals suspected of a jewelry store heist, and Rosie decides that someone from the inner circle should run a new Magic City Lab on the west coast.
First aired: April 28, 2017.
