Former teen icon Patrick Gallagher (Patrick Cassidy) has been living quietly as the owner of a car dealership. He’s married to Audie (Katie A. Keane), a former music video dancer who he met while shooting a video for his band, The Rockits.

They have two kids named Jordan and Ben. Teenager Jordan (Austin Butler) likes to write songs, play guitar and post his efforts to the Internet. He has a crush on cousin Ruby. Preteen Ben (Kurt Doss) is the sarcastic younger brother who spends much of his time teasing Jordan.

Things change for the family when Patrick’s former band-mate and brother, David (David Cassidy), shows up with David’s previously unknown teenage daughter, Ruby (Alexa Vega). David doesn’t want to give up his show-biz life and leans on his brother to help raise his daughter Ruby who’s a rising star on her own.

The mother of Ruby Gallagher (Alexa Vega) died when she was 12. She moved in with her grandparents, but she thinks they forgot she was even there. She uses this as an excuse to find her father who’s performing nightly in a Native American casino.

Patrick and David try to put their past differences behind them to help raise Ruby and keep order in the Gallagher house.
