Cancel your plans to watch the season four premiere of the Running Wild with Bear Grylls TV at the end of the month, and make new ones instead. NBC has moved up Running Wild with Bear Grylls‘ fourth season debut to Monday, May 7, 2018 at 10:01 ET/PT, following The Voice. Were we more in touch with nature, perhaps we would have intuited this change. Instead, one of our eagle-eyed reporters happened to catch an on-air promo for the new release date (and it wasn’t even Telly Vulture).
An NBC reality TV series, Running Wild with Bear Grylls follows adventurer and survivalist Bear Grylls — as he takes celebrities on a 48-hour journey of a lifetime — into the wildest and most remote locations the world has to offer. Celebrities featured in season four include Joseph Gordon-Levitt on May 7th, Keri Russell on May 14th, and Lena Headey on May 21st. Roger Federer, Uzo Aduba, Don Cheadle, Scott Eastwood, and Derek Hough are also slated to appear in the fourth installment.

05/07/2018 (10:01PM – 11:00PM) (Monday) : SEASON PREMIERE – Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt tackles Kenya’s unyielding terrain with Bear Grylls. Dropped into the elements from a helicopter, Joseph and Bear navigate a perilous rappel, milk a camel for needed hydration, and ascend a massive rock dome that tests Joseph’s fear of heights like nothing before. As the duo battles a crocodile for the remains of a water buffalo that is their only hope for dinner, Joseph details his rise to fame and his efforts to honor the memory of his beloved brother. TV-PG

05/14/2018 (10:01PM – 11:00PM) (Monday) : Actress Keri Russell joins Bear on an epic journey to the Canary Islands off the coast of Africa. After battling the dangerous, rolling rocks of a massive volcano, the duo descend into a mysterious canyon where they source a meager dinner of undigested seeds from a pigeon carcass, and test their luck with a grappling hook to escape the towering canyon walls. Later, after a cringe-worthy breakfast of crickets, Keri and Bear make a daring escape from a mountain peak using a paraglider. Along the way, Keri reveals her path to fame, her love of family, and the playful struggles of co-starring alongside her husband. TV-PG L
