Saved By the Bell: Series Revival Won’t Happen Says Co-Star

Saved By The Bell

Saved By the Bell took over Saturday mornings on NBC for four seasons during the 1990s. With all of the reboot talk happening right now, could fans of the teen sitcom ever see a revival of the series?

Tiffani Thiessen spoke about the possibility of a revival of the series with a new class at Bayside, and she does not think it will ever happen. Never say never, but she made it clear she thought it was a big no-go.

According to Cinema Blend, she said:

“It’s never going to happen. You’d never be able to do a reboot of that show and do a good job with it. The best thing we did was the Jimmy Fallon reunion last year. That’s as close as it will get!”

Saved By the Bell did help launch the career of Thiessen, Mark Paul-Gosselaar, and Mario Lopez. Mark Paul Gosselaar just saw his last project on NBC, Truth Be Told, cancelled after just one short season of ten episodes. Lopez has been busy on Extra for several seasons.

Would you want to see more hijinks at Bayside? Were you a Saved By the Bell fan? Tell us what you think.
