Saving Hope: Cancelled Series Returning to US Television

Saving Hope TV show on IONNBC cancelled Saving Hope after one season on the air but the Canadian TV show has continued to prosper and be renewed north of the border.

Cable channel ION has now made a deal to air the first two seasons, as well as the upcoming third season of 18 episodes. Production began on those episodes in June.

“We’re delighted that the full series including new episodes of Saving Hope will soon be available to American audiences through ION Television, one of the largest broadcast television station groups in the US,” said Stuart Baxter, president of eOne Television International.

He continued, “We’re looking forward to expanding on our already successful relationship with ION following their acquisition of our other series, Rookie Blue.”

ION has been running other imports The Listener and Flashpoint — two shows that ran on broadcast networks initially.

What do you think? Do you remember Saving Hope? Do you plan to watch it on ION?
