This is not certainly something you hear about every day. California Highway Patrol were involved in a high speed chase on Sunday afternoon, and they were following a woman driving a 1994 van painted to look like the Mystery Machine from the Scooby-Doo animated series and live action films. The chase is now making national headlines because of the Scooby-Doo van.
According to KRC TV, Sharon Kay Turman led police through Shasta County after the police were contacted. The woman was wanted on a warrant. She sped through city streets, running red lights, and hitting cars.
The cops, who followed behind by air and on the ground, kept on her until she finally decided to abandon the extremely recognizable vehicle. Once she ditched the van, Turman was able to escape the police, and she is still at large. The woman is currently wanted by the Redding Police Department as well as Shasta County Probation.
