The gang might be getting back together. In an interview, Eugene Levy said the original cast of the popular sketch show SCTV may reunite for a 40th anniversary special, Broadcasting & Cable reports.

SCTV (Second City Television) originally ran from 1976 to 1984.

Based off of Toronto’s Second City sketch comedy troupe, SCTV launched the careers of several well-known comedians and actors. Alongside Levy, the original cast included John Candy, Dave Thomas, Catherine O’Hara, and Harold Ramis.

Regarding the iconic series’ 40th anniversary this year, Levy said:

We’ve been talking about getting together. We’ve been talking about the possibility of getting together to do a show.”

Though there don’t seem to be concrete plans in place, Levy added that the special would air this year:

It would hopefully be this year. If not, it would be celebrating the 41st anniversary.”

Currently, Levy and O’Hara co-star on the Pop original comedy series, Schitt’s Creek. Season two debuts on March 16th.

What do you think? Are you a fan of SCTV? Would you like to see a reunion? Who’s your favorite cast member?
