TV show description:
In this sitcom, Sean (Sean Hayes) is a divorced dad who’s trying to juggle his career and family life. From his overbearing boss and offbeat employees at work, to his pushy mom and weekends with his teenage daughter Ellie (Samantha Isler), handling it all is no easy task.

When his quick-witted 14-year-old daughter wants to move in full-time, life gets even more complicated. Never one to do anything halfway, Sean’s intent on being the best dad ever. He loads up on parenting how-to books and plans topic-filled family dinners.

But his company’s new owner, Max (Thomas Lennon), has decided Sean and his team should work longer hours, throwing a kink in his perfectly constructed homemaking plans.

A normal girl, Ellie wants to hang with her friends and eat on the run, sees this development as a plus. She loves her dad, but he’s clearly going overboard.

From keeping his boss happy and enduring the tactless “advice” from his mother Lorna (Linda Lavin), to raising a smart, grounded and healthy kid, it’s a growing experience for Sean to say the least.

Thankfully, he finds some support in co-workers like artistic Hunter (Echo Kellum) and Liz (Megan Hilty), his loyal friend who used to be a therapist.

Series Finale:
Episode #15 — The Dark Sean Rises
Sean meets Max’s fencing coach, Liam (guest Guy Pearce), who secretly likes being a superhero. Sean tries to meet his every demand, which often ends up with him being hurt, and Lorna becomes vocal in trying to stop the two of them. Meanwhile, Liz gets mad at Sean for stealing her man and tries to sabotage their relationship.
First aired: March 24, 2014 (released online only)
