It’s a Festivus miracle! USA Today reports that Pandora and Sony Television have partnered to create a special Festivus station in honor of the Seinfeld holiday.
As many know, Festivus is an alternative holiday popularized by Jerry Stiller’s Frank Costanza in “The Strike” episode of Seinfeld.
Celebrated on December 23rd, Festivus entails a large pole instead of a Christmas tree and a dinner that includes traditional activities like the “Feats of Strength” and the “Airing of Grievances.”
Since the episode aired in 1997, the alternative holiday has taken off, with many people actually celebrating it annually.
In honor of the season, the Pandora station “will feature holiday music as well as stand-up comedy from co-creators Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David.”
What do you think? Are you a celebrator of Festivus? Will you listen to the Pandora station for the holidays?
