The Selection: Special Operations Experiment: History Orders Unscripted Series

History is taking on Special Ops. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has ordered a new series from Peter Berg called The Selection: Special Operations Experiment.

In addition to acting in Chicago Hope and The Leftovers, Berg is known as the creator of Friday Night Lights and has directed several TV shows like Ballers and Prime Suspect.

The Selection “will see 30 men and women between the ages of 21 to 45 years old with no military background go through intense physical and mental challenges to see if they have what it takes to be the best of the best.” Instructors include “veteran Navy SEALs Marcus Capone, Ray Care and Sean Haggerty; veteran Special Forces Green Berets Donnie Bowen and Bert Kuntz, and veteran Army Ranger Tyler Grey.”

Season one of The Selection: Special Operations Experiment premieres on December 15th at 10 p.m. ET/PT on History.
