TV show description:      
This science-fiction series follows a group of strangers from different cultures and parts of the world. They are all the same age and share the same birthday.

They all experience a tragic death through dreams or visions and then find themselves growing mentally and emotionally connected. Confused, they try to figure out how the connection happened and what it means.

The group of “sensates” includes Berlin locksmith and safe-cracker Wolfgang Bogdanow (Max Riemelt) who are involved with organized crime; Nomi Marks (Jamie Clayton), a lesbian transgender woman in San Francisco; Mumbai pharmacist Kala Dandekar (Tina Desai), a devout Hindu who’s engaged to marry a man she doesn’t love; and an Icelandic DJ named Riley Blue (Tuppence Middleton) whose troubled past has sent her fleeing to London.

There’s also Lito Rodriguez (Miguel Ángel Silvestre), a closeted gay telenovela actor in Mexico City; Chicago cop Will Gorski (Brian J. Smith) who’s haunted by an unsolved murder from his youth; Capheus (Aml Ameen), a Matatu van driver in Nairobi who’s trying earn enough to buy medicine for his sick mother; and a kickboxer named Sun Bak (Doona Bae) who’s also the daughter of a powerful Seoul businessman.

A mysterious man named Jonas Maliki (Naveen Andrews) tries to help the sensates while another stranger called Whispers (Terrence Mann) attempts to hunt them down. Whispers uses the same power to gain full access to their thoughts and sight after looking into their eyes.
