“We’re all falling apart.” The cast of Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly about season two of the FX series.
The drama stars Denis Leary as an aging rock star trying to find musical success later in life. John Corbett, Elizabeth Gillies, and Elaine Hendrix also star.
Discussing season two, Leary said the new season will find the band in a crisis:
The death of Micki — which is no big secret — our backup singer from the past, at a very young age, kind of throws the entire band into a midlife crisis. We’re all falling apart, and that becomes the through-line for all of season 2.”
He also teased some dark, twisted things will happen:
Let’s be honest. On this show, if there is gonna be hope, we’re also gonna slice that up a bit with some very dark and twisted goings-on. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel, and it’s probably attached to a train. That’s our comedy theory.”
Season two of Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll premieres tomorrow, June 30th, at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
