Shark Tank: All Six Sharks on the Panel in Season Eight

Shark Tank TV show on ABC

The Shark Tank is looking more full than ever. Entertainment Weekly reports season eight of the ABC series will feature six panelists at once.

The business reality series features entrepreneurs seeking investments from high-powered millionaires like Barbara Corcoran, Mark Cuban, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, and Kevin O’Leary.

Season two will mix things up a bit by having six investors on the panel at one time instead of the typical five. In addition to the regular cast, newcomer Chris Sacca joins the shark ranks.

Speaking to EW, showrunner Clay Newbill says the extra shark in the room adds a new dynamic:

“It mixes up the dynamic and the chemistry on the panel. We got a lot more humor, collaboration, bidding wars, and opinions. …  It was a great opportunity for entrepreneurs that came in because now they didn’t have just five shots at a deal, they had six. We actually saw sometimes where if it had been our regular lineup they wouldn’t have gotten an offer, but they did manage to get an offer because there was that extra shark on the panel.”

Season eight of Shark Tank premieres tonight, September 23rd, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
