Sharp Objects has added actress to its cast. Deadline reported that Eliza Scanlen has been cast in the drama. She will join Amy Adams, who is the star of the new series.
Deadline shared more about the HBO series and the role Scanlen will play. The news outlet revealed the following:
“Sharp Objects centers on reporter Camille Preaker (Adams). Fresh from a brief stay at a psychiatric hospital, Camille must return to her tiny hometown to cover the murders of two preteen girls. Trying to put together a psychological puzzle from her past, Camille finds herself identifying with the young victims a bit too closely.
Scanlen will play Amma, the 13-year-old half-sister of Camille (Adams). Having grown up in the small town of Wind Gap, Missouri, she lives a double life: as a restrained and girlish daughter when at home with her parents, and as a brash, impetuous teenager when out with friends.”
